Manual:
The most popular control is a maunal cord, which controls the movement of the integral blind by a radically new magnetic concept. A pair of rotating magnets, of which one is placed inside the cavity and the other is connected outside within the cord housing, directly control the movement of the integral blind. This system of magnets ensures that the seals around the unit are not affected, thus keeping the blinds completely protected from dust. The magnets have a lifespan of over a 100 years, enough to ensure quality usage for as long as you like.
Additional key benefits are the low cost, compared to the motorised system and simple installation, with no need for forward planning. Technical Download.
Motorised:
The ScreenLine® motorised system is a fully motorised system. An internal motor is integrated within the blind head-rail which incorporates a micro control unit plus encoder which allows simultaneous and synchronized movement of groups of blinds.
Slide and Fold make the installation of motorised blinds simple. All systems are individually built, pre- wired and factory tested. Available as a:
- Switch Only System. One switch per folding door set.
- Full remote control system. One remote control operates up to 99 folding door sets.
YOU MUST forward plan with motorised systems to benfit from economies and control wire concealment. All doors are supplied with a 3 metre length of control wire, which exits the door frame and connects to a pre-built system unit. This unit will include as standard 1 x transformer,
1 x control unit and a connection to a manual switch and if a remote control is ordered a radio receiver. (All Shown Here). Exiting the system unit is a 3m length of flex with a plug attached, designed so that you can get up and running without any fuss. Ideally once your installation is complete, the system unit will be hidden from view and the flex replaced with a direct connection to a fused spur, installed by a qualified electrician. Therefore you must condiser where you are going to conceal the system unit and the control wire. The system unit often goes under a kitchen unit, in the garage, underneath the stairs etc. The control wire although very small, often is fitted under the floor covering, behind the skirting or behind plasterboards. Take note, If you order three folding doors sets, there will be three totally separate system units. To help with planning, upon ordering a fully motorised sytem you will be issued with a checklist for the project management of your blind system. Motorised Technical Download
Motorised blinds are for prestige projects. Please note with the remote control system the possibilties are endless. You could have three folding doors sets, five windows and one french door all operated by one remote control from any room within the property. |
